Angela Christman Throughout a career spanning nearly two decades, Angela Christman has been driven by a bigger purpose – taking care of people and providing more fulfilling experiences for the team members she supports. A self-described “non-traditional” HR leader, Angela prioritizes people over policy, constantly imagining new ideas that help people enjoy happier, healthier living. In her most recent role as Senior Director, HR Strategy at Marvin, Angela led teams focused on talent and the team member experience. Prior to joining Marvin, Angela held multiple leadership roles in Human Resources with Walmart, where she helped impact talent and engagement for associates across the business. Angela holds a B.A. in Psychology from Coe College and an M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Minnesota State University, Mankato. When not working, Angela enjoys reading, traveling with her husband and spoiling her two springer spaniels. Vice President (President-Elect), Sponsorship Chair Board term expires in 2025 Christina Spriggle is currently the Vice President of People for Curi, a full service advisory firm that serves physicians and their practices in medicine, business and life. Christina has spent her entire career working in the healthcare field. She has especially enjoyed her time at Curi becaue the organization's purpose and vision are so inspiring. Prior to joining Curi, Christina worked in human resources leadership positions at UnitedHealth Group and Express Scripts. As the leader of Curi’s people team, Christina champions the company's talent strategy and philosophy; is highly engaged in creating an empowering and inclusive culture that enables leaders and team members to thrive; and enjoys partnering with leaders to identify creative solutions to ensure meaningful people outcomes for the organization. Christina also guides the company's suite of benefits, designs and administers compensation plans, leads coaching and training opportunities and works closely with the Board of Directors. In the past year, Christina has led the people team integration initiatives as Curi merged with a similarly sized organization in 2023. In her free time, Christina enjoys walking her dog Axl, traveling with her family, and reading—in particular non-fiction and historical fiction.. Janis Hardie As the VP of Talent Management for Agiliti, Janis leads the recruiting, training and talent practice areas. Janis is a strategic and execution-focused leader with a proven track record of designing and implementing integrated talent solutions to ensure an organization has the capabilities needed to achieve results and improve engagement. She is intrigued by people, their potential and what gets in the way. With over 25 years of HR experiences, she has led teams and impacted leadership development in a number of different industries including Target, Accenture and Heitman Financial. |
Heidi Grange Heidi is currently the SVP/Human Resources Officer for Northmarq, a Pohlad Company, since 2020. In her current role, Heidi is responsible for leading the development and execution of HR strategy, aligned with business priorities. Heidi leads all aspects of the HR function, including talent acquisition and management, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategy, HR operations, and the overall employee experience. Heidi has over 25 years of human resources experience, including various business partner and senior HR leadership roles in large to midsize organizations. Prior to joining Northmarq, she spent most of her career at Thomson Reuters. While at Thomson Reuters, was a senior HR leader involved in M&A activity, change and transformation initiatives, talent development, and partnership with senior/executive leaders. Prior to Northmarq, Heidi was the SVP of HR of a global medical device engineering and manufacturing firm located in the Minneapolis area. Heidi is an active member of the local MSP HR community, serving on the Board of HR Executive Forum (HREF) and involved in various HR professional groups. She has a BA in Psychology and MS in Human Resources Development and Training. Carita Hibben Carita is the Vice President, Human Resources at C.H. Robinson, leading the areas of Talent Acquisition, Education, Change Management, Talent Management, Total Rewards, HR Operations, HR Technology, Payroll, and Global Mobility. Additionally, I serve as the Executive Sponsor on our HR Digital transformation journey. I am considered a highly accomplished, strategic Human Resources professional with over 25 years of experience. Formally recognized for leadership, integrity, collaboration and an ability to establish and execute strategies while meeting company business objectives. Sharp business acumen in managing a broad scope of Human Resources functions, including operations, talent management, talent acquisition, performance management, succession planning, total rewards, implementing information/data systems, leadership, and coaching. Passion in designing rewards and recognition programs that align with organizational strategies. Strong ability to partner and collaborate with Executive Team Members, Board Members, and Senior Leaders to reach company goals and targets. Lastly, I serve as a member of the board of directors for Make-A-Wish Minnesota. Nominations, Marketing & Membership Co-Chair Board term expires in 2025 Rachel is a Director, HR Business Partner on the Allianz Life team who believes business results come from building trust and collaboration. She understands where the business strategy is going, and partners to develop the talent and people strategies to meet organizational goals with a focus on culture and employee engagement. With nearly 25 years as a HR professional, Rachel has demonstrated success working in high growth, fast paced organizations including Target, US Bank, Blue Cross Blue Shield MN and UnitedHealth Group. Rachel has been a part of HR Executive Forum since 2019 and looks forward to being more involved as a member of the HREF board of directors. Nominations Co-Chair Marie is the founder of UpSwing HR, a boutique consultancy focused on elevating her clients’ people practices. As an HR leader and practitioner with decades of experience, her interest in emotional intelligence has been nurtured over the course of her career and formed her approach to talent acquisition, productive conflict resolution, performance management, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Her background includes roles in contract administration, advertising sales, and operations management prior to focusing fully on HR. In addition to 25+ years of HR consulting work, Marie also served in an executive role as the VP of HR for a global communications firm. This breadth of experience shaped her systems thinking approach and has enabled her to forge relationships quickly across a diverse set of stakeholders. Marie has contributed to the cultural evolution and process transformation of numerous organizations. Her adaptability, curiosity, and roll up your sleeves attitude has inspired many a colleague, improved cross functional collaboration, and improved operational effectiveness. At-Large Board Members At-Large Board Member Board term expires in 2026 Michele Durkin is the Head of Global Talent at Northern Tool + Equipment, where she spearheads all facets of talent management, including Talent Acquisition, Talent Planning, Learning & Leadership Development, and Workforce Engagement. Prior to her tenure at Northern Tool, she spent the majority of her career at Thrivent Financial, where she honed her leadership skills across a wide variety of areas, including business intelligence, innovation, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and workforce experience. With a robust background in leadership roles spanning over 25 years, Michele is recognized as a versatile talent leader. She is known for her ability to seamlessly integrate her business acumen with targeted talent solutions that result in transformative outcomes. Her proven track record of implementing innovative talent programs foster inclusive environments where all can thrive. You can find Michele believing in people and partnering to build outstanding organizations in all aspects of life - whether it’s through her work with local non-profit organizations or cheering from the stands at her sons' Little League games. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Iowa State University. At-Large Board Member Mindy Rocha is the Vice President, Talent Strategies at Equality Health, a PE-backed, Medicaid Value-Based Care organization headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ. Mindy is responsible for leading Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, HR Business Partners and culture and engagement work for EQH. Previous to Equality Health, Mindy held a number of progressively responsible HR leadership roles with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, most recently serving as the Senior Director Organizational Development. Throughout her career, Mindy has demonstrated her ability to execute HR strategies that drive business results and success. As a trusted business partner and ethical advisor to CEOs, executive leadership team members and community leaders, Mindy has consistently provided valuable guidance and insights. She takes pride in building strong relationships and fostering collaboration to achieve organizational goals. Mindy holds her bachelor’s degree in education from the University of North Dakota. Outside of work, she is an active community leader, serving as the Chair of the Board of Directors of a non-profit bilingual early childhood school. She believes in giving back to the community and making a positive impact on the lives of others. At Large Board Member Katie Knoll is currently the Human Resources Director for Safco Products, a business that crafts forward-thinking workspace furnishings and is part of the Liberty Diversity International (LDI) family of companies. Katie has been with LDI for almost three years and previously acted as the Director of Talent & Culture, in which she was instrumental in transforming LDI’s talent management processes, including driving automation and digitization, as well as driving LDI’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy. Prior to joining LDI, Katie worked in HR leadership roles at Radisson Hotel Group and in a variety of HR and business leadership roles at Target for most of her career. With over 20 years of leadership experience, Katie builds strong relationships with those she works with and enjoys understanding her business leaders, their strategies, and removing roadblocks to help others achieve their results. Katie has a B.S. in Mass Communications from Miami University (Ohio). In her personal time, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, Jon, and two children, watching sports, and walking around the Minneapolis city lakes and her lovely neighborhood.
Kerry Geis Kerry is an HR director for The Toro Company (TTC), leading a global team to provide HR business partner support to various businesses and functional groups. Prior to TTC, she held various HR business partner and leadership roles with Target Corporation and 3M Company. Kerry has over 19 years of professional HR experience mostly in the HR business partner space, working closely with leaders to support the achievement of business results through people strategies. Kerry has a bachelor’s degree in communications, with a business minor from the College of St. Benedict. She is married, has 3 daughters and lives in Lakeville. |
