    We have an amazing board at HR Executive Forum and adding new board members is a great way to continue furthering our objective of serving and supporting the professional development needs of senior-level HR professionals in our community.

    We are very excited to announce the addition of eight new board members: 

    • Ruth Gutierrez Hafoka (Sr. Vice President, Chief HR Officer at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota); 
    • Sherrie Kronforst, M.A., SPHR, SHRM-SCP(Director, Human Resources/HR Consulting with the University of Minnesota);
    • Kristin Gaarder, SPHR (Chief Human Resources Officer, SVP HR with Amplifon);
    • Heidi Grange (Vice President, Human Resources at Thomson Reuters);
    • Patricia Jesperson, MBA (Chief Curiosity Officer with ExployeeEXP);
    • Steve Schad (President of Optima Advisory, LLC)
    • Mary Ann Slipka (Interim Talent Acquisition Leader at IRET); and
    • Tamara K. Tasche, M.S., L.P.(VP Executive & Transition Services at CPI)

    The HR Executive Forum is fortunate to have a diverse group of board members who have the expertise and the desire to help us achieve our ambitious goals.

    Ruth, Sherrie, Kristin, Heidi, Patricia, Steve, Mary Ann and Tamara have the experience and the passion for our mission that will allow them to add tremendously to the great work being done by our board.

    HR Executive Forum would like to welcome 4 new board members for our 2018-19 year. Join us today for our program on Human Capital Trends featuring Deloitte’s Dr. Gary Gerstner – and congratulate our new leaders when you see them!

    Dr. Mia Mulrennan is the Chief Talent Officer at Edmentum. Her focus on talent, learning and culture, as well as her award winning experience in academia and Fortune 500 companies make her a great addition to our board.

    Kevin Johnson is the VP of Client Relationships at Career Partners International. In addition to his work coaching and inspiring teams and individuals, Kevin has an M Div. from Fuller Theological Seminary and has directed a leading adult non fiction line, publishing up to 35 books  a year.

    Pat Chen is the Director of HR for Lexington Manufacturing. We are excited to leverage Pat’s experience across a variety of industries. Pat also volunteers on the Brooklyn Park Athletic Association, supporting sports in his local community.

    HR Executive Forum wrapped up the program year with an engaging, transparent, inspiring, and fun event inclusive of laughter and gasps. The presentation and panel discussion with Bruce DeWitt, CEO and Lorri Anderson, CHRO of Logic PD was a great way to wrap up the year as they shared with members and guests details of their experience in strategically navigating Logic PD through the major change of the company’s recent sale to Compass Group Equity Partners. The two executive leaders talked about how they created a strategy that served as a lynch pin in maintaining award-winning operations while trying to attract a best-fit buyer.

    The upcoming 2018-2019 program year kicks off on September 25th, 2018 with an overview of current human capital trends and discussion lead by Beth Thiebault, Deloitte Senior Human Capital Partner. Beth will take us through an engaging discussion on Deloittes's research and aligning the human resources strategy, organization, structure, process, programs, and technology into an overall HR Service Delivery Model.

    Compelling plans, magnetic ethics, and team thinking.

    Good leadership is not soft. In the words of successful CEO and investor, Joseph Otting: “The best way to protect and grow a business investment is a good leadership team.” What role can HR play in improving leadership teams?

    Together on November 30th, with a room full of talent and career driven professionals we embraced the idea that goodness pays and that leadership within HR is a combination of; compelling plans, magnetic ethics, and team thinking.

    Paul Batz, CEO and Founder of Good Leadership Enterprises, presented a data-driven approach to how HR Leaders can become an internal leadership team coach and consultant to increase the economic value of leadership. It starts with the basic idea that “goodness pays.” We had an opportunity to go through a self-assessment, an ROI calculation and a case study with real data.

    The energy was amazing, the conversation compelling, and we left feeling even better about leading with goodness.

    Pam Borton, President & CEO of Borton Partners Presents to Record Attendance

    The October program at HR Executive Forum brought record attendance to a room full HR leaders on Wednesday, October 25th.

    "ON POINT" feedback has been key to Pam's success and the success of her teams over the years. She shared how her feedback has been real-time as the play is happening, not structured like the review process we are accustomed to.

    There was great table conversation, interaction, and even a exercise of high five's, fist bumps, and elbows to share how immediate and positive interaction can change the dynamics and energy. Give it a try the next time you walk by your team members.
